Philip Matthews started his illustrious career in the agriculture sector in the 1980s, earning a National Diploma in Agriculture from Reaseheath College. His deep-rooted understanding of the dairy industry paved the way for a successful decade-long tenure. However, his career took a fascinating turn when he was headhunted by Alton Towers Theme Park. There, Philip’s innovative strategies in vending operations increased revenue by more than 500% within two years, showcasing his unique ability to transform traditional processes into highly profitable ventures.​
Transition to EEM Group Vending
In 2004, after a redundancy from Alton Towers, Philip fully immersed himself in the vending industry. His expertise was quickly recognised by Unilever Vending, where he played a crucial role in installing over 850 vending machines in high-profile locations such as Heathrow and Gatwick Airports, Premier Inn Hotels, The Queen Mary Cruise Ship, and The London Eye. These experiences equipped Philip with unparalleled knowledge and skills, laying the groundwork for the inception of EEM Group.
