EEM Group’s Role in the Microgreens Vending Machines

Who is EEM Group?

EEM Group specialises in providing advanced vending solutions that cater to various industries, including retail, farming, and dairy. Their expertise in designing vending machines that are both energy-efficient and user-friendly makes them an ideal partner for Horticulture Wales in this innovative project.

A Partnership Focused on Sustainability

EEM Group’s collaboration with Horticulture Wales is rooted in a shared vision of sustainability. By launching these vending fridges, they are helping to bring fresh, healthy produce to the community in a way that minimises environmental impact. This initiative is a perfect example of how vending technology can be used to promote local agriculture and reduce food waste.

How the EEM Microgreens Vending Fridges Work

The vending fridges, located at The OpTIC Technology Centre and Avatar Fitness, are designed to provide easy access to fresh microgreens. These fridges are stocked regularly with produce grown by local farmers, ensuring that consumers receive the freshest possible products. The fridges are also equipped with advanced cooling systems that keep the microgreens at optimal freshness, aligning with EEM Group’s commitment to quality and sustainability.

The Impact of the EEM Microgreens Vending Fridge Initiative

Supporting Local Farmers

By providing a platform for local farmers to distribute their produce, these vending fridges offer a new revenue stream that bypasses traditional retail channels. This direct-to-consumer model ensures that farmers receive a fair price for their products while also reducing the environmental impact associated with long supply chains.

Promoting Healthy Eating

The availability of free microgreens at The OpTIC Technology Centre and Avatar Fitness encourages healthier eating habits within the community. This initiative not only makes it easier for people to access nutritious foods but also raises awareness of the benefits of incorporating microgreens into their diets.

Reducing Food Waste

One of the key benefits of these vending fridges is their ability to reduce food waste. By offering fresh produce in convenient, small portions, the fridges ensure that the microgreens are consumed before they spoil, aligning with broader goals of sustainability.
